What should be paid attention to when using the disabled elevator?

1. The difference between wheelchair lifts and ordinary elevators

1) Disabled Lifts are mainly tools designed for people in wheelchairs or elderly people with limited mobility to go up and down stairs.

2) The entrance of the wheelchair platform should be more than 0.8 meters, which can facilitate the entry and exit of wheelchairs. Ordinary elevators do not need to have these requirements, as long as it is convenient for people to enter and exit.

3) Wheelchair elevators are required to have handrails inside the elevator, so that passengers using wheelchairs can grasp the handrails to maintain balance. But ordinary elevators don’t have to have these requirements.

2. Precautions:

1) Overloading is strictly prohibited. When using the wheelchair platform, be careful not to overload it, and use it strictly according to the specified load. If overloading occurs, the wheelchair lift will have an alarm sound. If it is overloaded, it will easily cause safety hazards.

2) Doors should be closed when taking the home lift. If the door is not closed tightly, it may cause safety problems for the occupants. In order to avoid this kind of problem, our wheelchair lift will not run if the door is not closed tightly.

3) Running and jumping in the wheelchair elevator is prohibited. When taking the lifts, you should keep still and do not run or jump in the lifts. This will easily cause the risk of the wheelchair lifts falling and reduce the service life of the lifts.

4) If the disabled elevator fails, the power should be cut off immediately, and the emergency descending button should be used to ensure the safety of passengers first. After that, find relevant personnel to check and repair, and troubleshoot. After that, the lift can be continued.
