DAXLIFTER Towable boom lifts (also known as trailer-mounted boom lifts) offer essential reach and mobility on job sites. We offer different towable boom lift height options, from 10m,12m,14,16,18 to 20m. Whether leasing or purchasing, proper operation is critical. Follow these steps:
1. Unload & Position the Machine
Set your vehicle's parking brake securely.
Unchain the trailer from the tow vehicle (truck, SUV, etc.).
Pull the collar pin to disengage the lifting mechanism.
Lower the stabilizer legs/jacks to raise the trailer off the tow hitch, ensuring all four legs contact firm, level ground. Indicator lights typically confirm ground contact.
Stow chains safely to prevent tripping hazards.
2. Engage Ground Control Station
Activate the ground control panel. This central station manages lift functions, stabilizers (outriggers), and rotation.
Ensure stabilizers are fully deployed and grounded before proceeding. A steady tone often signals readiness.
3. Perform Pre-Operation Safety Checks
Visually inspect the machine: Check hydraulic systems, controls, and structural components for damage. Verify load indicators function correctly.
Clear the work area of obstacles and ensure ground stability.
4. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Put on a full-body harness. Securely attach the harness lanyard to the designated anchorage point inside the platform/basket before operating. This is mandatory for aerial work.
5. Switch to Platform Controls
Turn the key to activate the basket/platform controls.
6. Release the Boom Lock
Disengage the boom transport lock mechanism.
7. Enter the Platform Safely
Slide the safety bar/gate upwards and step into the platform. The bar should automatically return to its locked position.
8. Secure Yourself & Operate
Fasten your platform seatbelt in addition to the harness lanyard.
Operate the platform controls (similar to ground controls) smoothly. Familiarize yourself with functions: platform rotation (±80°), jib rotation (±70°), and turntable rotation (355°) for precise positioning.
9. Prepare for Descent & Transport
After completing work, retract the boom fully to the stowed position.
Center all platform controls.
Remove your harness lanyard from the anchor and unfasten the seatbelt before exiting the platform.
10. Secure the Machine
Re-engage the boom lock.
Return to the ground controls.
Fully retract (stow) all stabilizer legs/jacks.
11. Ready for Transport
Reattach the trailer securely to the tow vehicle using chains and safety pins.
Ensure everything is tightly stowed and secured.
